Mark Kneidinger

Executive Advisor, IT & Cybersecurity

Mr. Mark Kneidinger provides CIO and Cybersecurity management advisory and consulting services to Swingtech. He is immensely familiar with the Swingtech customer base. He is committed to providing Research and Development, Intellectual Property (IP) concepts and Business Development support to help further expand Swingtech’s market position, offerings and value to their customers. Mr. Kneidinger is a 40+ year veteran in IT and Cyber whose career transcends roles as a federal government CIO and Cyber Senior Executive, state government CIO and private sector Vice President and Managing Partner for IT consulting firms.

Prior to this role, Mr. Kneidinger, served as Principal Deputy Chief Information Officer in the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). He worked with the CIO to oversee the Department’s information technology (IT) portfolio, served as an advisor to the CIO, and led the digital transformation of the Department of Energy.

Previously, Mr. Kneidinger was Deputy Director of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) National Risk Management Center (NRMC), within the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), where he worked directly with Federal agencies and private sector on risk management and guidance for national critical infrastructure sectors. Mr. Kneidinger had been the Director of the Federal Network Resilience (FNR) Division within CISA’s Office of Cybersecurity, leading FNR’s activity in representing and supporting implementation of DHS Cyber Programs to all 99 Executive Branch Departments & Agencies in collaboration with the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB), National Security Council (NSC), the Federal CIO Council and individual agency CIOs and Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs).

Mr. Kneidinger also served as a White House appointee in support of positions as Deputy Assistant Secretary and CIO at the Department of State and U.S. Agency for International Development. In addition, over the course of his more than 40-year career in the technology field, Mr. Kneidinger has held IT executive leadership positions in the commercial sector of Fortune 100 Corporations, including roles as CTO, Vice President and Managing Partner in organizations such as Northrop Grumman and Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC). Mr. Kneidinger also held CIO positions at the state government level in New York and Virginia.

In addition, Mark has presented nationally and internationally on IT and Cyber topics, as well as being a published author on these topics and currently on the Editorial Board for Cybersecurity- A Peer Reviewed Journal out of the UK, in addition to serving on several Advisory Board roles for IT start-ups.
