Kumar Pappu
Chief Technology & Innovation Officer
An accomplished IT executive, Kumar drives Swingtech's overall technology and innovative services strategy. As a principal architect, he brings in more than 20 years of experience in enterprise IT systems. His expertise includes software architecture, product development, cloud computing, security architecture, data administration and analytics, emerging technologies and enterprise architecture. He is responsible for developing innovative solutions to serve the missions and initiatives of our customers thereby building efficiencies and reducing costs. In his role, Kumar mentors program managers and technical leads, builds technology partnerships and collaborates with the business development teams on crafting customized technical solutions.Kumar joined Swingtech in 2015 to lead the CIO Advisory Support Services for the Department of Defense and to build best practices in emerging technologies across multiple customers. Prior to joining Swingtech, Kumar led cross functional teams and strategic initiatives through global consulting firms such as IBM and Accenture. He also implemented several IT initiatives for small and large clients in government, media, financial services, manufacturing, not-for-profit, industrial, travel, transportation, and healthcare industries, resulting in better user experience and cost savings.
Kumar has received multiple accolades, recognitions and awards from Federal Government and consulting companies and has broad understanding of business and productivity principles, effectively and seamlessly integrating technology with bottom-line profitability.
Kumar received his Bachelors and Masters in Computer Science from India and his MBA from Southern Methodist University (SMU). Kumar is a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), ITIL v3 Foundations Certified, and a SAFe Agilist.
Kumar enjoys playing chess with his two boys, reading books, and coaching school kids on robotics and science olympiad.
